[ ] What day can you pickup my car.? Varies from company to company
[ ] How long does the delivery take? Varies form company to company
(The transit time depends on the specific route your vehicle goes on. For example, we move your vehicle from California to the East Coast on average between 7 and 10 days once your vehicle has been picked up.)
[ ] Is this the best price and why?
(Yes, in this industry the cheapest price is not always the best price. As you call around, you may see prices vary from company to company. Remember that any price does not guarantee pick up at that price. We work very closely with our carriers to keep our prices updated for the current industry standards, so that we put your vehicle on the soonest available truck.)
(If you go with the cheapest price, you may find out that your vehicle is not being picked up in a timely manner because you were under-quoted, and no truck will take it for the price you were quoted.)
[ ] Do I have to be present when we pick-up or deliver your vehicle?
(Yes, you will need someone at both locations for 2 reasons. First you’ll need to have someone sign off on the condition report of your vehicle. You will also need to pay the driver a COD upon delivery of your vehicle.)
[ ] How will I know when the truck is coming to pick-up/deliver my vehicle?
(Once your vehicle has been assigned to the carrier, we will notify you by email and/or phone to let you know the estimated date for pickup and delivery. The truck drive themselves will call you to let you know what time he plans on being to your pick up or destination 12 – 24 hours prior.)
[ ] Can you guarantee a pick-up or delivery date?
(We will do our best to accommodate your needs, some other companies charge for this service. If the exact date you request is unavailable, we will work within a 2-3 day time frame of your request. Booking your car with us, you will be provided with an estimated transit time that your shipment will take, in order that you may plan ahead. However, with one or two week prior notices we most often WE CAN PICK YOU UP the day that you choose.
If any company gives you a GUARANTEED pick up date, get it in writing in a contract. Most companies will tell you over the phone that they can pick you up on specific date, but when you read the fine print on the contract you find that they actually have sometimes 30 days or more before they can pick up your vehicle. If they can guarantee a pick-up date, ask if they go door-to-door or if they use terminals along the way.
Most Terminals are sub contracted towing companies that work with numerous companies that hold vehicles till the car carrier arrives, these facilities are usually open to the public and sometimes cars easily get scratched dented even lost. And your vehicles can move from truck to truck making it more susceptible to damage. Also, just because the vehicle has been picked up and moved to the depot, does not mean its actually on the truck in transit. Sometimes you may find that your vehicle may sit at the terminal for weeks before its put on a truck.)
(ALSO, KEEP IN MIND THAT IF YOU PLACED YOUR ORDER FOR IMMEDIATE PICK UP, WE HAVE TO SCHEDULE YOUR PICK UP FOR THE TRUCKS THAT ARE AVAILABLE. IF THERE ARE NO TRUCKS IN THAT AREA AT THE TIME OF YOUR ORDER, YOU MUST WAIT FOR A TRUCK TO BE AVAILABLE IN YOUR PICK UP AREA THAT IS HEADING IN THE DIRECTION OF YOUR DESTINATION.)

[ ] How far in advance should I schedule my move?
(We prefer that you give us 1 to 2 weeks advanced notice from the date that your vehicle is available to be picked up. With 1 to two weeks advanced notice, we can generally pick up your vehicle on the day you request. Note: for last minute we do have same day and next day pickups; call our dispatcher to ask about the details.)

(Upon booking your move, we will attempt to provide door-to-door service.)
[ ] Can I pack things in my car?
(Yes, you can pack up to 100 lbs in your vehicle in your trunk or backseat. However, these items must be secured down, and they cannot block the any windows or views. Also, the personal items packed in the vehicle are NOT covered by the insurance.)
